Versions and lifecycle

Numspot operates its clusters Kubernetes with stable versions that benefit from active monitoring of security fixes, in compliance with the security requirements applied to the service.

Supported versions

The following minor version is supported:

  • Kubernetes 1.34

This scope covers the stable versions actively maintained by the Kubernetes community, with continuous monitoring of security bulletins.

note

When you create a cluster, the most recent version is selected by default. For more information, see Create a cluster Kubernetes.

Security patch monitoring

The images used for the clusters Kubernetes include:

  • patch updates applied regularly to fix bugs and security flaws;
  • active monitoring of critical and high vulnerabilities;
  • a hardened system image following the ANSSI recommendations.

Patch updates are applied automatically by Numspot and require no action from the customer. They concern only patch versions (for example, 1.34.0 to 1.34.1), without any change to data compatibility.

Support policy

VersionSupport statusCommunity end-of-support dateEstimated Numspot end of support

The support status is aligned with the dates announced by the Kubernetes project. Numspot follows the Kubernetes policy regarding the support of minor versions.

End-of-support notification

Numspot notifies its customers several months before the end of support of a minor version. This notification enables customers to plan the migration to a more recent version.

Minor updates

Minor updates (for example, from Kubernetes 1.33 to Kubernetes 1.34) require the update of the cluster. Numspot recommends testing the compatibility of your applications before performing a minor update.

warning

Numspot cannot guarantee backward compatibility between minor versions. It is the customer's responsibility to verify that their applications are compatible with the new version before any migration.
