Update a route

You can update a route that you created in a route table by replacing it with another one. This action automatically changes the way traffic is routed for the VM (Virtual Machines) placed in the subnets associated with this route table.

Permissions

No IAM (Identity and Access Management) permission is required to perform this action.

API

The PUT /compute/spaces/{spaceId}/routeTables/{id}/routes command replaces an existing route in a route table of a VPC (Virtual Private Cloud). You must specify one of the following as the target:

• VPC Peering
• NAT VM (NAT virtual machine)
• internet gateway
• virtual gateway
• nat gateway
• NIC (Network Interface Card)

The routing algorithm is based on the most specific match.
