Detach a virtual gateway

You can detach a virtual gateway from a VPC (Virtual Private Cloud).

This action changes the attachment state of the virtual gateway from attached to detached, but the state of the virtual gateway remains available.

Permissions

This action requires the following IAM (Identity and Access Management) permissions:

• connectivity.bridge.update

Console

1. Click in the Virtual Gateways dashboard to display checkboxes.
2. Tick the checkbox of the virtual gateway you want to detach from a VPC. The virtual gateway is selected and an actions menu appears.
3. Click Detach from a VPC. The "Detach from a VPC" dialog box appears.
4. Click Detach. The virtual gateway is detached from the VPC.

API

The DELETE /connectivity/spaces/{spaceId}/virtualGateways/{id}/link command detaches a virtual gateway from a VPC.

You must wait for the virtual gateway to be in the detached state before you can attach another VPC to it or delete the VPC to which it was previously attached.
