Delete an image

You can delete an image you have created at any time if you no longer need it.

The snapshots linked to the image are not deleted.

Permissions

This action requires the following IAM (Identity and Access Management) permissions:

• compute.image.delete

Console

Deleting an image from the console is not available yet. Use the API or Terraform.

API

The DELETE /compute/spaces/{spaceId}/images/{id} command deletes an image.

You can still use the VM (Virtual Machine) already launched from the deleted image, because the deletion does not affect existing VM. However, you will no longer be able to create new VM from this image.
